The association is active in the field of bowling with nine cones (classic and parquet cones) and ten cones (bowling) and forms corresponding specialist groups.
The Polish Bowling Association is a member of many organisations, e. g. the International Bowling Federation (FIQ) and its two sub-organisations – the World Ninepin Bowling Association (WNBA) and the World Tenpin Bowling Association (WTBA). The association is also a member of the Polish Olympic Committee (PKOL).
Among other things, the PBA is concerned with the development of bowling sports, the organisation and implementation of the education and training of players, coaches, instructors and referees in cooperation with the relevant institutions and organisations, the implementation of a comprehensive training and educational support for the members of the sports federations.
