Axel himself started with middle distance running at national level in his youth, but later turned to sports marketing while working for Nike. He then explored the broadcasting rights market while employed at IMG Media Group Sverige AB. However, he has been working for Marathongruppen for 10 years now and is responsible for commercial rights and sales here. It was here, in cooperation with Ramboll, that he organized the rebranding of the Stockholm Half Marathon and its positioning.
